Real Vikings Wear Pink

Real Vikings Wear Pink

On October 23, 2015, many of the students at North Arlington High School donated one dollar to raise funds for breast cancer awareness. In exchange for their selfless donations, the administration allowed students to dress down. However, it was mandatory that everyone wear some form of pink for the cause.

Throughout the halls, you could find elated faces and an immense sense of support. According to the American Cancer Society, “1 in 8 women get breast cancer throughout their lifetime” and chances are you’ve met someone with this seriously life threatening illness. Yet, affected women are resilient and strong. With the help of charities and events like these, scientists will be one step closer in finding a cure. Thank you to all at NAHS who supported this cause.
