10th Annual Tri-M Induction Ceremony

10th Annual Tri-M Induction Ceremony

It was a musical night on November 21st  at our school! The event was the annual Tri-M Induction Ceremony and the night was filled with beautiful speeches and concerts performed by students who are part of this prestigious group. The ceremony began with the installation of this year’s officers: Alex Ruiz is President, Tristan Byrne is Vice President, Taylor Willis is Secretary, José Dean is Treasurer, and Luis Moco is Historian. Following was the first performance of the night, Rockin’ Robbin, performed by several accomplished band students and Mrs. Kastner – this was a performance that the audience gladly clapped through. Other performances included a mixture of band and chorus students: Born to Die, And You Know Me performed by a brother-sister duo, Almost Lover, Unsteady, When We Were Young, a beautiful Leaving Me, Crazy, and a jazzy Autumn Leaves.

In between these performances was the induction of new candidates, recognition of continuing membership and the honorary induction of a long-time music parent, Sharon Granell. Her acceptance of this award was followed by a beautiful and heartfelt speech, thanking not only the parents who are active in the music association but the students as well. One of the last performances was Rivers, performed by almost 20 students as a tribute to Mr. Kastner and his undying dedication to the band and its students. This night was unforgettable and was made possible by everyone who contributed to the success of these achieved students. Most importantly, congratulations to all new and continuing members, as well as the new board and may the next year bring even more success!
