Freshman Mentor Orientation

On Tuesday, September 6th, the peer mentor staff and students gathered to receive NAHS’s newest scholars. The team welcomed the 9th graders and enlightened them with a plethora of information about the high school. Mr. Marck, Director of the Peer Mentor Program, Mr. Kenny, Vice Principal, and the freshman advisors welcomed and greeted the class of 2020. During the orientation freshmen were given a tour of the building to become familiar with the new setting.

Additionally, each of the mentor groups met with their individual advisors to continue discussions and concerns. Students had the chance to get to know the upperclassmen, and learn how they have spent their time in high school thus far. It is worthy to mention that both mentors and mentees enjoyed their time. The 9th graders were alleviated from most of their worries, and the entire event was a success. This program is truly beneficial for all participants.
