Cinderella

Cinderella

Hear Ye, Hear Ye! A royal proclamation! Hear ye all! This is going to be of special interest to ye! April 28-30 was the performance of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella by the North Arlington High School Drama Club. After working for over four months, the show was finally ready. Opening day, Thursday, was the most nerve wracking night for everyone. Were there going to be technical difficulties? Would all of the performers know their lines and cues? By the time the house opened, there was already a line of family and friends at the door. Striking 7pm, the doors opened and the guests filled the gymnasium.

Opening day went smoothly. There were a few malfunctions with wardrobe and music cues, but it only helped everyone improve for the next few nights. Friday was the most successful night, so much so that there weren’t enough seats for everyone! Saturday, closing night, was an emotional night for cast and crew. During the senior goodbye, tears were shed and moments were reminisced. As 21 of our seniors move on to greater things, we wish them luck and can’t wait to see them all on Broadway one day! As Mrs. Branco says, “It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later.”
