On Thursday, March 5, 2026, the induction ceremony for NAHS’s National Honor Society was held at Michael’s Riverside Restaurant. NAHS junior and senior Vikings, their family members as well as the NA community, came together to celebrate the new inductees and existing members. The event was filled with joy and an unforgettable celebration of our Vikings, who have demonstrated their high academic achievements! 

The ceremony commenced with President, Charlize Torres, welcoming our Viking community and guests. Superintendent of Schools,  Dr. Yurchak,  and other NA administrators, including athletic director Mr. Cioffi, delivered speeches, noting their admiration for these driven and accomplished Vikings. Vice-President Abigail Zevallos, Treasurer Dylan Santos, Secretary Adriana DaSilva, and Parliamentarian Veronica Lopes recited the four pillars of character, followed by the candle lighting of the NHS pillar by the NHS officers. The induction ceremony was led by Mr. Bott and Mr. Kenny, who inducted 24 new members! The induction ceremony concluded with the NHS Pledge Recitation, led by President Charlize Torres. 

In all, the induction and dinner was an enjoyable experience for many individuals. Senior, Sophie Lasek, who was inducted as a new member, said “I really enjoyed the induction ceremony and the dinner. I look forward to the opportunities that the NHS will provide me with. This night was truly unforgettable.” Congratulations to all the new members of the NAHS Chapter of the NHS!
