Homecoming Dance

Homecoming+Dance

This year’s homecoming was a hit! The dance was held in the highs chool gymnasium where students had the opportunity to dress up and have a fun filled night with their friends. Beverages, snacks and baked goods were offered outside of the dance as well as a photo booth to capture any memories of the night.

Students socialized and danced endlessly before getting ready to be presented with the homecoming court. The court was made up of Ara Rangel, Alex Yadimarco, Melina Beltran, Kyle Villani, Kayla FitzSimons, Luke Cheplic, Sarah Karcic and Kenneth Jaramillo. Class and Student Council president, Nancy Kajo,  and band member, Mark Barbosa, were deservingly crowned king and queen shortly after.

Looking into the two proud winners, let’s start with the homecoming queen, Nancy Kajo. Nancy is both a proud member and president of the student council as well as president of her class. She has been on the varsity football cheerleading team for four years and is involved in countless other extracurriculars such as the National Honor Society, Yearbook Committee and Freshmen Mentor program.

Most well known for his involvement in the school marching band, Mark Barbosa raised school spirits by taking the crown. The court was presented the following night at the football game with the Vikings scoring a win against Hawthorne with a score of 28-7. Homecoming 2022 was certainly an event that will forever be remembered by all!
