December 16, 2016 was the date of the winter pep rally. This school event provides an opportunity for students and faculty to wish the winter sports team’s good luck. The student body showed their support by making supportive posters and hanging radiant lights covering the gym walls. The roaring chants of students only gave motivation for the athletes. Sports recognized included winter track, swimming, wrestling, bowling, cheerleading, and boys and girls basketball, which have already started with much success.

In between the sports presentations, Mr. Hutchinson, our athletic director, held games corresponding to the winter sports for anyone to join and the basketball cheerleaders performed their routines. The fun began with an intense game of knockout that included two rounds before the finals. Ultimately, the physics teacher, Mr. Moore ran supreme ahead of three other finalists. The final competition consisted of a scooter race where six teams competed across the gym floor. Overall, the entire school wishes all of the winter sports luck in the future!
