Let’s welcome Mr. Fedorenko to the Viking family! This is Mr. Fedorenko’s first year of teaching, and we are all excited to have him at NAHS. He followed his dream of becoming a music teacher and band director. Mr. Fedorenko has been in band since the fourth grade. He first started on the euphonium but his favorite instrument to play is the tuba. In high school, Mr. Fedorenko was involved in the top wind ensemble at Parsippany High and won the regional championship.

Mr. Fedorenko has big plans for the North Arlington High School Band. His personal goal is to really grow this program beginning with student membership. He hopes to recruit students by continuing the tradition of performing in all of the district’s schools and sharing the experience of being in a band.

The following quotes are from a few of the North Arlington High School Band members:

The color guard captain who also plays marimba, xylophone, and glockenspiel, Angelina Antorio, says that Mr. F “will definitely have a positive impact on the Band.”

The drum major, Mark Barbosa, a longtime member, believes “the band will continue being successful once again with Mr. Fedorenko’s guidance.”

Madaline Nagel insists that “Mr. F. is very personable and notes that the band room has a comfortable vibe making the work seem easy.”

We wish Mr. Fedorenko the very best of luck and look forward to future performances!
