Student Spotlight: Brianna Balugas

Emily Hontiveros, Staff Writer

Student athlete, Brianna Balugas is a sophomore at North Arlington High School. She  participates in volleyball during the fall season and track during the spring season. When she’s not , playing, she is definitely on the side showing support for the rest of the school.

She is also a member of the school’s student council and plans on joining drama and chorus in her remaining years in high school. Despite all of the time spent on extra-curricular activities, she has time to prioritize her academics as she stated, “I plan the assignments I have to do each week and try to tackle them when I can.”

Brianna isn’t entirely sure about her future, but definitely has some ideas. She has the potential to go into many fields. She relies on her older sister for advice, an NAHS graduate who is now in college. Her favorite moments during school are being with the people who make school fun for her. Whether at a school event or in the classroom, Brianna is vivacious. As a reminder to her peers she states, “Just be happy with what you have and stop constantly worrying about what’s new.”
