This spotlight is on Ryan Duffy. Ryan plans on majoring in finance and economics at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Eventually, he plans to be a stockbroker. While in college, he plans to continue running track. As a matter of fact, he got a track scholarship from Rutgers.
When asked how he became such a fast runner, Ryan stated, “It is due to pure dedication, working hard, and having a strong willpower.” Ryan also mentioned that his speed became recognizable after he raced a former graduate and track team member, Daniel Cordeiro. As the two competed in a race, Ryan was the victor.
Ryan stated that his most memorable moment in high school was when he got a 4.0 Grade Point average and a good class ranking. In addition, he remembers when he scored his first soccer goal and broke the school record for the spring medley with a time of 3:38.
Ryan closed the interview by stating, “I also enjoyed my overall high school journey because the teachers are great and the students are awesome!” The Viking Saga staff wishes Ryan the best of luck in all of his future endeavors.
