This spotlight is on Joe Cappelluti, a senior in North Arlington High School. Not only is this student a soccer and track star, but also an intelligent and kind individual. Soccer has been Joe’s passion since a very young age. Therefore, it is no surprise that when asked about his leisure activities, Joe stated, “I help the local soccer instructional staff with refereeing and coaching.”
Being a leader seems easy when it comes to Joe. During his volunteer time, he has proven to be a respectable role model for the younger athletes.
Joseph is a member of the National Honor Society and a staff writer for the Viking Saga. He keeps his readers informed about soccer and track. Joe wants to attend Montclair State University and chase a career in Education and Mathematics – preferably K-12.
It is important to note that Joseph wants to pursue a career in teaching math, because Mr. Dembowski, one of the high school’s math educators and varsity soccer coach, inspired him to become a teacher.
We hope Joseph continues to work diligently and accomplish all of his aspirations!
