Ilea Scritchfield has taken over the senior spotlight with her outstanding art work. Not only is Ilea amazing at drawing but excels in all creative aspects. From sketching fashion designs to photography, Ilea`s aptitude seems to have no limit. “During my younger years, I drew clothing since I was very interested in fashion,” she stated. When discussing her photography, Ilea added that she enjoys imitating the pictures she takes of nature. But when asked what exactly inspires her to draw, Ilea responded with “the challenge”. It appears as though the gifted Ms. Scritchfield likes to be challenged; whether it being a simple picture of a flower with precise details or an upcoming logo for this year`s baseball team, she takes on the challenge to obtain a result of perfection.
Originally, Mr. Marcantuono, the physical education teacher for the class of 2014’ and varsity baseball coach, had asked Ilea to design a new logo for his office. Little did he know Ilea`s willingness to go above and beyond with her creativeness. By thinking outside of the box, Ilea came up with the idea to create a 3-D plaque of the original picture with the Vikings symbol and a baseball. Ilea plans to use her creativity in the future for a career in marketing. She emphasizes her love for business and is determined to pursue it while dominating the creative side of marketing as well.
