In an attempt to give back to those who give us freedom, North Arlington High School participated in Jeans for Troops Day. For one dollar per student, five dollars per teacher, Mr. Kenny permitted that for on November 12th people who donated money were allowed to wear jeans that aren’t usually school regulated.
All profits from the fundraiser were donated to the troops to help them find jobs, go to college, get health care, and find housing. Jeans for Troops Day was inspired by Mrs. Bratowitz in light of the emotional holiday formerly known as Armistice Day, which is more modernly known as Veteran’s Day. While it is no longer Veteran’s Day, it’s important to acknowledge and recognize the sacrifice given by the brave and courageous individuals known as veterans.
