On Wednesday, June 5th, 2013 the senior class of 2013 celebrated all their accomplishments together with friends, family members, and fellow classmates at the Il Villaggio. Senior class night is our last night to be together as Vikings before we leave North Arlington High School to experience our new endeavors. Both Mackenzie Cutruzzula and Mcaela Quintero greeted everyone with warm welcomes and acknowledgements for everyone who has supported us along this journey. Mackenzie Cutruzzula, President of the senior class, started off the night with a warm welcome by stating, “The members of the class of 2013 have taken their individual accomplishments to new levels, creating even more success for the groups they belong to.” In addition, Diana Correia presented our yearbook to our class advisors – this was certainly a very sentimental moment for the advisors and all of the seniors. Our advisors also delivered speeches reminding seniors about their journey at NAHS.
Senior superlatives were given out throughout the night which consisted of seniors and teachers voting for students who best fit each category. Some winners included, “Most Athletic” (Mackenzie Cutruzzula and Jeff Frytek), “Best Personality” (Rachel Fanaro and Andrew Street), Best Dressed (Sara Rozycki and Jimmy Cedola), “Most Changed Since Middle School” (Nicolette Zamora and Steve Herrmann), “Most talented” (Bruno Ferreira and Rebecca Filgueiras), and many more! Nicolette Zamora, winner of a superlative stated, “It was encouraging having my class remember me during their votes and I hope that is the foundation of the bonds we have formed.” To end the night, the dance floor was opened up to all the seniors who were also able at this time to get caricatures of themselves and fellow classmates. Senior Class Night was an exciting and fun filled event that the seniors will cherish for the rest of their lives.
