High school can be a wonderful experience; nonetheless, being a freshman, the first couple of weeks can be scary. North Arlington prides itself in being a bully free environment. We do not make distinctions between classes because the students are all equally Vikings! Members of the senior class set an example for the school and promote kindness and acceptability to all.
This year’s freshmen are proof that the positive attitudes have been working. Many freshmen students are already involved in sports and extracurricular activities. The young students agreed that they were scared in the beginning but the teams welcomed them with open arms. This welcome made the freshmen feel even more ambitious and full of Viking pride.
Freshman Joe Muriale, spoke about his excitement for the upcoming basketball season and how his older brother and friends have been making this year great so far. Freshman Rhyan Cardoso told about his plans to be on the wrestling team and how much he’s been enjoying his classes, especially history. Rhyan stated, “I guess we’ll see how it goes, but I’m loving the year so far.” Welcome freshmen of 2013, and good luck!
