Congratulations to the North Arlington Girls Bowling team! This past February, the Lady Viking bowlers made history when they won the team’s first-ever state sectional championship in the NJSIAA North Jersey, Group 1 title game. On an individual basis, Mia Da Silva and Alexa Palacios became the first North Arlington girls to finish within the top 18 in the past 20 years. The levels of recognition for the team, Mia and Alexa are outstanding!
All of the girls excelled and accomplished goals in their own way. Mia Da Silva rolled an average of 159.95. Alexa Palacios rolled an average of 156.08. Jacklyn Burbach rolled an average of 149.85 and improved it during states to 157.1. Theo Major rolled 136.75 and also improved it to 145.7. Lastly, Skyler McCool rolled 146.5 during the state tournament.
