Super Bowl 50

Super Bowl 50

All the anticipation and excitement led up to Super Bowl 50 and the young South Carolina’s quarterback Cam Newton against the veteran Denver’s quarterback Peyton Manning. Everyone thought Cam Newton would dance past the Broncos and their number one defense. Unfortunately for Newton, the only dancing he was doing was when he was trying to escape the grasp of the Broncos’ outside linebacker Von Miller. Miller recorded 6 tackles and 2.5 sacks as he led the Broncos to a 24-10 victory. Miller also won the Super Bowl MVP Award.

Cam Newton had absolutely no success against the terrorizing Broncos’ defense. Newton was sacked 7 times and knocked down a bunch more. Overall, he was pretty roughed up. However, nobody mentioned the fact that Peyton Manning was also sacked 5 times and threw an interception. Neither quarterback had a fun day at the office, but Denver’s defense stepped up and gave Manning his second Super Bowl ring.
