As NFL fans know, a number of teams have made significant coaching changes in the past few weeks. The San Francisco 49ers hired Chip Kelly, formerly the Philadelphia Eagles head coach, as their new head coach. A few days later, the Philadelphia Eagles hired former Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator, Doug Pederson, as their head coach. Pederson was a quarterback for the Eagles in 1999 and was the team’s offensive quality control coordinator for two years from 2009-2010. Not only did the Eagles hire Pederson as their head coach but they also hired former Detroit Lions head coach, Jim Schwartz, as their defensive coordinator.

Recently, the New York Giants promoted offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo to head coach after their beloved coach, Tom Coughlin resigned. The Cleveland Browns hired Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers promoted their offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter to head coach. Lastly, the Miami Dolphins hired Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Adam Gase as head coach. In other news, the Tennessee Titans retained interim head coach Mike Mularkey, but are still looking for other potential candidates. We’ll see how all of these head coaching changes affect the teams in the months to come.
