NHL Hockey Season

We are only a few games into the 2015-2016 NHL season and it’s safe to say teams like the New Jersey Devils and New York Islanders are not looking too good. The Devils are 0-2 and their next 4 out of 5 opponents (Nashville Predators, San Jose Sharks, New York Rangers, and Arizona Coyotes) are undefeated. The New York Islanders are 0-1-1 and their next 3 opponents are undefeated but their last 2 (Boston Bruins and Columbus Blue Jackets) are 0-2. So far, it has been a rocky road for both teams as they still search for their first win. On the other hand, the New York Rangers have picked up where they left off last year by getting off to a quick start at 2-0.

The Rangers looked impressive last year when they earned a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals, but lost to the Tampa Bay Lightning in 7 games. Eventually, the Chicago Blackhawks would go on to win the Stanley Cup. Nevertheless, the New York Rangers showed determination as they came back from a 3-1 series deficit to win back-to-back series. This year, they look to take it one step further into the playoffs. Their next 5 games are against the Winnipeg Jets, Montreal Canadians, New Jersey Devils, San Jose Sharks, and the Arizona Coyotes. These teams are by no means easy opponents but the Rangers will look to knock them off in the upcoming week.
