MLB Playoffs

The two wild card games of the MLB Playoffs are set. After the Astros lost to the Diamondbacks 5-3, the Yankees secured home field advantage for the one game playoff. That game will be played on Tuesday, October 13, against the Astros. However, the Yankees will have to find a pitcher to pitch in that game because C.C Sabathia recently entered a rehabilitation center for substance abuse. In the National League, the one game playoff will be between the Chicago Cubs and Pittsburg Pirates – two teams that scratched and clawed to be in the playoffs.

One team that surprised the baseball world was the Toronto Blue Jays. In the beginning of August, the Yankees held a commanding lead on them for the division title. As the month continued, the Yankees slipped while the Blue Jays became red hot. When it was all said and done, the Jays won the division by 6 games. However, before we can get to the American League Divisional Series (ALDS), we have to see who wins both wild card games. All eyes will be on the Yankees, Astros, Cubs, and Pirates in the next few days.
