The North Arlington boys’ varsity soccer team has started off their season with a 4-1-1 record. Their only loss came to an always dominant, Wallington side. With a disappointing tie to Saddle Brooke away, the team will try and bounce back to make counties and win a state sectional title. With the chemistry becoming stronger between the starting eleven, the NAHS boys’ soccer team will surely be a team to watch. With a +13 goal differential the team’s offensive skill is unmatched, while the aggressive defense keeps them in every game.
Determined to not tie or lose for the rest of the season, the team has been responding well to adversity and isn’t shutting down defensively as easily as they have in the past. Just like any other North Arlington High School team, they play up and down to their competition; which is good and bad at the same time. While a good opponent will force a good game, a bad opponent sometimes causes the NAHS team to lose focus and make mistakes. If they can peak in states, and keep their mistakes to a minimum, there is no reason why they can’t become state champions.
