Despite the North Arlington Vikings losing key seniors, many have stepped up and filled their roles to perfection. Senior captain Andrew Paparelli stated, “The dedication and hard work that these guys have put in during the off season is the reason why we will be successful this coming season.” Although the Vikings lost a heart breaking opener to Elmwood Park, they did not let that stop them.
When the North Arlington Vikings took on the Wallington Panthers, the Vikings came out on top after an overwhelming victory with a final score of 46 to 0. Quarterback Angelo Nocciolo lead the way with his aerial attack and ability of extending plays with his legs. After the game, I had a chance to catch up with the Vikings starting Quarterback and ask a few questions. When asked how it felt to get this win after losing to Elmwood Park, he said, “It couldn’t have felt any better. The victory gave us a huge boost of confidence.” One thing is certain – the Vikings have put themselves on the map as a top team in the North 2 Group 1 Conference.
The Vikings hope that all fans invigorate their winning spirit by showing their support during each game this season.
