Last week at NAHS was rivalry week! Both our Girls and Boys basketball teams played Lyndhurst and Queen of Peace. These games are two of the most important games of the season. While watching these games, there was non-stop excitement. The enthusiasm of our fans truly helped bring the Vikings to victory, especially during the game against Queen of Peace. “The Viking “Pit” really helped our teams during the games” stated Robert Marrero- a very loyal Viking fan of the basketball teams.
Captain, Tyler Krychkowski said, “Just play. Have Fun. Enjoy the game.” Those are the three things that he and the team focused on before each game last week and every week. Both the Girls and Boys Varsity Basketball teams had tough losses on Tuesday, January 3rd against Lyndhurst. The Boys lost 58-40, and the Girls lost 56-20. The Boys came back on Thursday, January 5th and had a huge victory against Queen of Peace winning 69-57. The girls ended up losing a close game with a score of 44-42.
