A Pep Rally To Remember

NAHS held its first indoor Fall Pep Rally since 2019 on September 30, 2022. In addition, it was the first time juniors, sophomores and freshmen experienced an indoor pep rally! This year’s fall pep rally helped to kick off the 2022 Homecoming Football Game and Ceremony held later that night. The football team, girls volleyball team, girls soccer team, boys soccer team, cross country team, football cheerleading team, and the NAHS marching band members were all recognized by their coaches as participating athletes in fall sports.

Once our Viking mascot got the crowd going, our cheerleaders put on their outstanding half-time performance. Homecoming King, Mark Barbosa, gave a solo performance on the trumpet which was a highlight of the afternoon.

Vice Principal Mr. Kenny gave his take on the overall performances of band and cheer as well as this Viking experience, “It was honestly one of my favorite all-time pep rallies. There was so much positive Viking spirit and energy. The coaches did a great job with their presentations and it was great to see our student-athletes get recognized. As a true highlight, Mark Barbosa stole the show with his performance. I would classify this as one of the top 10 all-time North Arlington High School pep rally moments during my time here. A special thank you to Mr. Aronowitz for putting together such a special time for our students.”

Pep rallies are always special; however, this one will always stand out in Viking history!
