‘Twas the Night Before Homecoming

Every year, before the homecoming football game, NAHS hosts its Homecoming Dance. It is a special time where Viking Pride is celebrated. That night, every Viking was excited to dance with their friends and have a good time. This year’s theme was Hollywood and to fit the occasion, every senior had a star with their name on it outside the gym. Inside the gym, was a DJ who provided music and a photo booth in the corner with fun ‘props’. There was also a bake sale held outside the gym by the junior class. When asked about the dance, Mr. Blackford, the advisor of the senior class, quoted that “It was fun to see how many students came to the dance and had a great time.”

Towards the end of the night came the most exciting part of Homecoming—the Homecoming Court. This year, it consisted of Scott Gentle, Sara Alves, Alex Ferreira, Natalia Auriemma, Emily Greenemeier, Sean Golon, Nicole Dean, and Sammy Hansali. NAHS is proud present Jacob Rytelewski and Vannessa Jaramillo as Homecoming King and Queen, who described the night as “a fun experience and a great way to highlight my senior year.” Finally, let’s give special congratulations to the court and a big thank you to the chaperones, especially Mrs. Gordon and Mr. Blackford!
