North Arlington Community Helps in Hurricane Relief Effort

The devastation caused by Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Harvey has been broadcasted on various news outlets for the past couple of weeks. Viewers across the nation were faced with images of flooded streets and residences across the southern state of Florida. Without a doubt, we couldn’t even begin to fathom the hardships the victims are currently facing. As a community, North Arlington created a hurricane donation center located near the fire station on River Road. Members of North Arlington and other surrounding towns showed their support by donating essential items such a clothing, canned food, bottled water, and various toiletries. Indeed, the donation stockpile demonstrated how we all must work as a community to abet in the hurricane relief efforts.

Not only did North Arlington accumulate tangible items to ship off to the hurricane victims, but on September 15th, North Arlington High School sponsored a Viking-oriented dress down. Participants donated anywhere from $3-$10. After all of the generous donations, North Arlington High School will be donating $537.00 to the devastated areas. Without a doubt, this outpouring of support clearly shows how North Arlington is truly a generous community.
