College Visit: NYU

College Visit: NYU

New York City has the best resources for a prospective college student wanting to succeed after graduation. NYU is the dream school for anyone who wants a global, informative, and innovative community.

All of the statistics are almost unmatchable – 99% of students have a job within six months of graduation. Additionally, the school has campuses on six different continents, which every student has the opportunity of studying at. One program that is specifically interesting is part of the Stern School of Business. The school sends out every junior to three different countries for a week as part of their curriculum, so every student gets the global perspective.

Throughout my visit, every staff member and student was undeniably helpful, making it easy to navigate the “inner-city” campus. Furthermore, the school offered free breakfast and refreshments, which shows how much they care about their applicant pool. Nonetheless, each individual program at NYU masters the perfection of balance between liberal arts and a technological education.

NYU made it an enjoyable experience while allowing prospective students to engage with the community around them. As Chris Barker, Vice Dean of CAS might say, “Go out and interact with a New Yorker! Talk to them!” Overall, NYU will forever be established as a respectable institution that soon some of North Arlington’s students will be attending!
