Yankees are Rejuvenated

It seems like whenever baseball season comes around, the Yankees are always the talk of the town and rightfully so. They have won 27 championships and are always a threat to be World Series contenders. As the new baseball season gets underway, the talk is once again focused on the Yankees, their expectations, and their roster moves. There are big questions surrounding this team, as we’ve grown accustomed to throughout the years. Will they be healthy this season? How will they free up some cap space and get rid of enormous contracts? Will their new acquisitions have immediate impacts? All this remains to be seen.

Amidst all the buzz, the Yankees have seemed to be getting younger as they try to add youth to their lineup and build around it. They added shortstop/second baseman Starlin Castro from the Chicago Cubs and closer Aroldis Chapman from the Cincinnati Reds. Both players are younger than 30 and the Yankees hope they can provide for the team and stay around for years to come. Minor league players like Aaron Judge, James Kaprielian, and Rob Refsnyder look to make big splashes onto the major league scene this year with the Yankees and are considered as some of the MLB’s best prospects. With all of these players looking to make huge impressions this season, it’s going to be a very interesting year for this ballclub.
