On Tuesday, March 12th was one of the most controversial games in the UEFA Champions League, Manchester United vs. Real Madrid at the Old Trafford stadium in Manchester. This was a quite interesting, but also blood-boiling game as Manchester was red-carded in the 59th minute and many believe it cost Man-U the game. It was a very close call and a very bold move on the refs who called it; as a matter of fact, Madrid didn’t even push for the call. The red card was given for excessive force on Nani, after he supposedly cleated Alvaro Arbeloa in the chest.
Real Madrid was victorious 2-1, which was extremely emotional for Madrid’s forward Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo was excited to return to the Old Trafford, as he once played for Manchester United. Ronaldo rose to fame in the Old Trafford, and one can only imagine how he felt defeating his old team on his former field.
