The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time was a dazzling Broadway production. The story followed exceptionally smart Christopher Boone, who knew every country and every prime number up to 7507. When he fell under suspicion of killing his neighbor’s dog, he set out on a journey to find the real killer. While searching, Christopher comes across something shocking that will change his life forever. With this new burden on his hands, along with the dog, and the stress of getting his A-Level Math degree, Christopher’s sensitive mind starts to spiral out of control.
Overall, the production was simply stunning. The stage was a grid setup that was supposed to mimic Christopher’s extraordinary mind. The electronica setup was fresh, innovative, and jaw-dropping. The visuals were nothing less than amazing, and the musical score paired perfectly with the visuals. The play did justice to the book, written by Mark Haddon. This production is deserving of all of the hype it’s currently receiving. When Tony Awards season comes around, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time deserves to win some awards. On the whole, this play will stick with you long after you leave the theater!
