Shoppers are flocking the stores for the day-after-sales full of Christmas and New Year’s deals! However, this isn’t the only reason malls are flooding with customers. Tons are returning their unwanted gifts; both the ones that don’t fit and the items that are simply not in style! I surveyed lots of my friends and family members about their returning items this year and it’s safe to say that an average of 35% of gifts were returned according to these specific people.
Now let’s talk about all the gifts we have been raving about. Record players, fujifilm Polaroid cameras, mac laptops, go-pro cameras, the iphone 6 and the selfie stick were some of the most wanted and most popular gifts asked for or given this holiday season. So it’s safe to say we are fully into the age of technology but we are a bit nostalgic about the past.
Teens all over the world are obsessing over record players and Polaroid cameras, which is completely understandable. Music plays much nicer on a good record and the feel of having one makes a room very cozy and welcoming for some odd reason. As for the Polaroid cameras, most don’t seem to see the point of it, most likely because they are blinded by the cost of film. It’s so magical when a photo prints straight out of a camera! Let’s face it, when was the last time you held one of your pictures on a sheet of paper rather than on an electronic device?
Out of all things, I hope that all of you had a great holiday break and a Happy New Year! Let’s strive to make 2015 one of the best years we’ve had!
