Ms. Kelsch is a world language teacher at North Arlington High School. Ms. Kelsch attended NYU as an undergraduate majoring in French and Studio Art, and received her Master’s degree in teaching French as a foreign language. Ms. Kelsch has already held several teaching positions; one in Paris teaching high school English for a year, another teaching 6th and 7th grade French in Westwood, and as a teacher at the International Pre-School (adjacent to the United Nations building), where she worked with children from international families and even diplomats. Her many jobs indicate that she loves to travel and see the world.
When asked about her goals for the school year, Ms. Kelsch replied that she wanted to share her love of French with her students, and help them become excited about the language and culture. She also wants youngsters to understand the usefulness of French in daily life, and expand their knowledge of other cultures. Ms. Kelsch took part in the pep rally this past September, and feels that all the students are very passionate, and that they seem to have a great deal of respect for one another. When asked if she could have any other job besides teaching, she replied that it would have to do something with traveling, art, or design.
