North Arlington High School’s Junior and Senior prom took place on Friday, May 30th, 2014 at The Atrium in West Orange. The festivities began promptly at 7:00 pm and concluded at 11:30 pm. As guests arrived at The Atrium, they were greeted with nonalcoholic pina coladas and strawberry daiquiris. Attendants then directed all in attendance to the two areas where cocktail hour took place. The hors d’oeuvres as well as all food items served during the cocktail hour were savory and lured all guests for getting seconds.
Immediately after the cocktail hour, students and their guests moved into the dining hall where the prom actually occurred. Couples lined up with anticipation and enthusiasm to have their photographs taken by a hired professional. The young ladies’ gowns were breathtaking and the young men’s tuxedos fashionably complimented each. The vibrant music kept students dancing all throughout the evening as administrators, guests and teachers began composing a list of names for selecting the court. At around 11:00 pm the prom court, king and queen were announced and the applauses seemed endless. This year’s king was Matt Titterington and the prom queen was Theresa Capo. This prom was certainly a memorable event for all of our students. A special thank you to senior class advisors – Ms. Shaver and Mrs. Valerie Rosen-Williams for a job well done!
