As of right now, the winter track team is trying its best to win at the meets. Even though not all athletes have gotten victories, the entire team is practicing diligently every day to win. This happened across all three meets that occurred thus far. I found it interesting how this particular group of track members keeps smiling even after losing a meet. Obviously, all athletes want to be victors; nonetheless, it can’t always happen. What really shines is that this track team has the winning spirit and determination to keep fighting for those wins.
On Saturday, Keighlin broke the girl’s shot put record now making it about twenty six feet–breaking the previous record by about a foot. Everyone was proud of her. I also had an opportunity to ask our coach, Mr. Zukatus, what he thought of the completed meets and he told me that, “So far, so good.” Let’s keep running N. A.!
