Back to School Advice

“To achieve great things, two things are needed: a plan and not quite enough time” (Leonard Bernstein). As high school students begin the school year, so do all the sleepless nights, time consuming assignments, and early mornings. While most students dread this time of year, there are many ways to easily start the school year with a positive outcome.

To begin, as each student spends at least 6 hours a day in school, why not be productive with that time? Spend time wisely to seek extra help from teachers or consult friends for anything confusing. Many students are very involved with extra-curricular activities, making time management a struggle. To discourage bad habits such as procrastination or oversleeping, schedule accordingly. Instead of leaving projects to the last minute, complete academic assignments prior to devoting time to non- academic activities.

Remember that getting regular hours of sleep, eating healthy, and attending social events can contribute to the students’ peace of mind. Managing time wisely will be reflected in your achievements. Overall, good luck to all students and don’t forget to take time relax after completing school work!
