In our new generation technology has grown in more ways that most people never thought possible. A new piece of technology for reading is the Kindle or the Nook. It is an electronic way to download and read books. Is it better than old fashion books? That is the question at hand. Some would say yes and others would beg to differ. It all depends on how you look at it. I personally am an avid reader. Books are a passion of mine big, small, thick or thin. You will always catch me reading on my spare time. If I could, I would read all day, every day.
The electronic book has its pros and cons. One of the pros of using this device is that you can choose between reading any book you’re in the mood for. You’re not limited to the only book you have carried around with you. You can read more than one at the same time. Another thing is that it’s lighter than carrying around a number of books, which makes it easier for traveling.
A better part about carrying an actual book is that some of us don’t buy books. Since we read so much, it would cost a great amount to buy every single book we want to read. Some of us borrow them from a local library or even a friend. Some enjoy the actual attraction of laying down curled up with a good book at night. Also, while carrying around an actual book there is no chance of it running out of battery in the middle of the best chapter.
So, I guess when someone asks which is better, it’s technically up to the readers and what they themselves prefer. Either way, reading is a great hobby that everyone should find a way to enjoy. There are books of all categories from everywhere in the world – there’s always something for everyone to read.
