“Houston, you have a problem”…The North Arlington High School Competition Cheerleaders are coming to take first place!

This past weekend the North Arlington High School Competition Cheerleading squad placed first at the Cheer Bowl Nationals in Houston, Texas positioning them just a few points away from winning grand champions.  Anyone who knows cheerleading is aware how popular it is in the south, especially in Texas.  Being able to attend a competition of this caliber was an honor and no easy task for the team.

The team, encouraged by head coach Jessica Demetroules and assistant coach Alyssa Rodriguez, attended weekly team tumbling sessions, grueling practice sessions and conditioning workouts to train for this event.

The NAHS Competition Cheer squad had a very successful 2016-2017 season earning first place in all but one competition, culminating with a final win at  Nationals. Seniors, you’ve done great!  Best of Luck!
