Vikings Celebrate Diversity

On Tuesday, May 17th, members of the North Arlington community gathered in the NAHS gymnasium to partake in the school’s annual Multicultural Night. High school students representing various nationalities took on the responsibility of creating booths for foreign countries of their choice. Each booth included informational posters, props, and traditional food dishes from the specific nation. Visitors from all around town were able to enjoy great food and music, all while furthering their knowledge about the world around them!

The festivities also included dance performances by NAHS students, as well as a number of fun games and craft activities for visitors to enjoy. Students involved were proud of their booths and how well they represented the countries they chose. Anna Rose Krasner, a senior, says of her first Multicultural Night experience, “I had a great time creating a stand dedicated to Denmark with all of my friends.” It was definitely a night to remember and a success overall!
