Color Guard

Flags, flags, and flags! That is the only thing on the minds of everyone in our school’s color guard team. This year’s team has a lot of fresh faces and excitement for the upcoming season. With new captains, Tammy Brobeck and Nicole Gac, as well as returning color guard instructor, Tara Jeanne, the team is in good hands. When asked what she thinks of the guard, Tara said, “I’ve taught many students and teams but my North Arlington guard is different. They are dedicated and hard-working. They never forget what it’s about though. They never forget to help each other. They care about each other. I wouldn’t trade them for the world. They’re a great team.”

Not only are the “guardies” hard-working, they are also a family. Even with many new faces, some as young as 6th grade, it wasn’t long before they became comfortable with each other. This year’s marching band music is also extremely fun and upbeat. The combination of both the music and flags is sure to make quite a show!
